In beautifully proportioned and detailed early Georgian style, these chairs are very well made and decorated with gilded chinoiserie motifs and figural vignettes of low and high relief Japanning. Each chair has unique decoration on the back splat. Early 20th century. Very sturdy, with freshly upholstered balloon slip seats in a light salmon and beige raised cotton damask. Restored and polished, in good antique condition with typical signs of age and light use, craquelure, small looses to the painting and gilding, some restoration to the paint and gilding.
