An elegant little table smartly finished on all four sides so that it can be placed freestanding in a room as an occasional table. Each drawer and side panel is enhanced with triple strung inlaid panels and all four canted corners are inlaid with fluting. The inside faces of the legs are veneered with boldly patterned kingwood. Each cabriolet log terminates in a gilt bronze sabot. The interior of the drawers are fitted: the top one with a small writing surface and velvet lined compartment. The others are also lined in cream velvet. Second half of the 19th century. Very good antique condition, subtle signs of age.
