This charming necklace set with 53 rose cut diamonds of a total weight of approx. 1.85 to 2.0 carats was created at the end of the 19th / beginning 20th century and – as has been common practice at all times – it seems that older stones were partially used to create a new, fashionable necklace at the height of its time. Due to the relative thinness of a rose cut diamond compared to a brilliant cut diamond the total carat weight of the necklace does not exceed 2.0 carats, though when regarding the stones they convey a very substantial impression.
It is possible to wear the necklace at different lengths without making any changes to the silver chain: the fastener (which is a more recent addition) can be securely hooked into the bigger eyelets of the chain elements.
