Piccadilly Circus at night (c. 1920 England)
The view looks west towards Piccadilly with Alfred Gilbert's statue of Eros on the right. Piccadilly Circus was formed in 1819 by the intersection of Piccadilly with John Nash's new Regent Street. Ernest Llewellyn Hampshire was mainly known as an architect. He studied at Clapham School of Art and then King's College London (for architecture). He exhibited works at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Paris Salon.
