Antique Blackamoor 18K Yellow Gold Brooch and Earrings covered in Sapphires circa 1890

This amazing original set of Blackamoor Brooch and Earrings are circa 1890 and is the best of the best. The faces on the Brooch and Earrings are made out of Chalcedony (not enamel over metal, or wood that deteriorates ) or Onyx and are very difficult to carve and this is why Blackamoors such as Nardi and others went to wood or enamel over metal. These were carved by a master carver over 100 years ago. To find a matching set of any Blackamoor's is rare but to find original Onyx carved set is even rarer, as a matter of fact I have never seen another. The Diamonds are old European cut VS clarity and G for color and the Sapphires are a deep blue. Carved and detailed in 18K Yellow Gold body with a double clip back for the brooch and European pierced back for the earrings.
