this recent acrylic on canvas painting by Philip Palmer shows many of the characteristics that this artist is known for, particularly an interest in exotic and beautiful hair forms which enhance and underline the emotional content of the picture. The female Echo pines for Narcissus who has only interest in his own reflection. her hair would seem to almost reach toward the subject of her love whilst his moves toward his own reflection.
As with much of the artists work the frame and picture are made to complement each other. although formed from hardwood and stone the frame around this work is relatively light and so commercially produced picture hooks would be adequate to hold this picture on the wall.
