Luxury Design, Past & Present
Born into the prominent Alfonsi family of Italian Jewelers in 1926, Nino d"Antonio Germano has become quite distinguished & highly celebrated for his handmade gold jewelry as well as being greatly respected & receiving much notoriety as a fine artist for his sculpture & painting.
This important bracelet is one of his most significant jewelry pieces. Crafted by Germano using the classical lost wax casting technique, it is one of very few.
In 18K Yellow gold it is comprised of 8 unique & individual rectangular plaques flexibly joined in the back by handmade gold links. Though bellicose in imagery, each plaque depicts what I think are sculpted portrayals of either Roman or Greek mythological scenes. Each individual plaque is signed by the artist.
The bracelet is 7 1/2" long & weighs a significant 114.80 grams. Comfortable on the wrist, this strong & dramatic art piece is appropriate for either a woman or man to wear. I really love this piece!
