An early 19th century two-tiered mahogany dumb waiter. Each tray with lipped edge and folding sides. Defined by Sheraton in his Cabinet Dictionary 1802 as 'a useful piece of furniture, to serve in some respects the place of a waiter, whence it is so named'.
The whole is raised on three sabre reeded legs with brass capped castors.
