Antique pair of French claret jugs with 1st standard silver mounts and crystal by A. Risier and Carre' Paris. They are also called champagne jugs. A matched pair is very rare and desirable.
There is a trace of gold wash on the silver mounts. They are large- measuring almost 12inches high by 8 inches across the handle. They are fully marked.
Circa late 19th century. They are in excellent condition.
