An early Victorian topaz set cross brooch, the brooch in the form of a cross with nine round faceted topazes and pear shape faceted topazes in between the topazes, estimated to weigh total of 23.5 carats, all cut down set to a gold mount with a brooch pin fitting, circa 1840, measuring approximately 4.8 x 4.6cm, gross weight 12.8 grams.

This antique cross brooch is in good condition for its age. Unmarked tested as 9ct Gold (pin - base metal)

This wonderful and bright topaz brooch comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Made in the early Victorian period, this romantic brooch features faceted topaz in a lovely golden honey colour, and the stones are arranged in the shape of a cross. This is a lovely and bold brooch and would be a perfect and eye-catching addition to a silk scarf.

Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
