Luxury Design, Past & Present
A Victorian five stone sapphire and diamond carved half hoop ring, the three sapphires weighing a total of 2.13 carats, alternately set between two old-cut diamonds with total weight 1.2 carats, with eight rose diamond points set between the principal stones, all set in yellow mount with carved scrollwork gallery and shoulders, circa 1880, later hallmarked 18ct gold London, bearing the Bentley & Skinner sponsor-mark, measuring approximately 2.2 x 0.7cm, finger size O, gross weight 6.8 grams.
A gorgeous late Victorian ring. This ring features five stones: three vibrant, royal blue sapphires and two dazzling and bright diamonds. The stones are set to an ornate scroll carved gallery, typical of late Victorian rings. The setting is yellow gold, which adds warmth to the stones, and further lively rose-cut diamonds are set between the larger stones for added sparkle. This gorgeous piece comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
This ring is in very good condition.
