Luxury Design, Past & Present

A Victorian Archaeological Revival emerald and diamond trefoil cross pendant, of archaeological revival style, to the centre a kite-shaped emerald estimated to weigh 1 carat, the arms set with old-cut diamonds and cushion-shaped emeralds, surrounded by gold beading and wire work decorations, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1.75 carats in total, all mounted in yellow gold and suspended by diamond-set pendant loop, circa 1850, measuring approximately 6 x 3.8cm, gross weight 11 grams.

This antique cross is in fine condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold with 14ct gold pendant loop.

This ornate mid-nineteenth-century cross pendant comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This pendant was created in the archaeological revival style, and has a distinctive Byzantine flair. It features bright and imperial emeralds and dazzling diamonds, making it a stunning and eye-catching piece. The stones are beautifully complemented by the detailed yellow gold cross. This pendant would look stunning suspended from a thick Victorian gold chain for a bold look.

Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
